ASOFERWA since its creation has been promoting unity and reconciliation focusing on culture of peace. Among the achievements: Nelson Mandela Village, located in Ntarama Sector, Bugesera District, accommodated 180 families made by Genocide survivors and Genocide perpetrators was built by ASOFERWA and Testimonies are recorded from community members. ASOFERWA was engaged in follow up and management of services initiated as an alternative penalty to imprisonment formally known as TIG in French abbreviation. ASOFERWA played a big role in socio economic reintegration of youth minors from Gitagata detention center whom were involved in military activities before, in and after the 1994 Genocide Perpetrated against Tutsi in Rwanda. Other success stories have been recorded.
